Iranian Solution?
Hopefully the visa authorisation number will be ready in Istanbul by next Monday.
Tonight I leave Paris on a train bound for Venice, from where I shall travel on to Belgrade, and then Istanbul.
If all goes well, next Wednesday I shall board the Trans-Orient Express to Tehran, where I shall spend a little over a week in Iran, before flying back to London, and then taking the Eurostar back to...

I love Radiohead. Seeing them live at Main Square Festival a couple of weeks ago was immense.

Whilst it’s great that 15 hostages (including Ingrid Betancourt) have been liberated from their FARC captors in Columbia, I can’t help but wonder what that will mean for the other 700 or so, still held by the rebels. With headlines such as “Columbians trick rebels into freeing Betancourt”, I can’t imagine they’ll be very happy about it, and what reprisals will...
